When a hitchhiking musician named Jack helps her fix a flat tire, she is drawn to his undying optimism and mesmerizing music, so much so that she offers to be his manager and help him share his music with the world so she can spend more time with him.

Though Jack keeps details about himself secret, he and Amelia grow closer until his past suddenly catches up to him and threatens to ruin everything the two of them have been building together. Torn between finding her place in her new family and helping Jack reconcile with his, Amelia has to learn to trust her own feelings and the man who knows exactly what it means to let go of the past and follow your heart.

Book Review:

I can’t believe that this is the end of the Simple Love Stories series! I feel like I have lived a lifetime with these characters and like they have become my friends. Let Go is the 7th book in Dana LeCheminant’s Simple Love Stories series. This book made me feel so many emotions and I just couldn’t put it down!

Amelia had me from the beginning, I felt for her. She was just trying to find her place in life and get her life back in order. She was such a nice girl who tried her best to make people happy. I related to her, she was kind of high strung like me :). However she cared deeply for others and she was trying her best to get back on her feet. But I loved how different she was with Jack. He helped her relax and learn to live life for herself and not for others. But Amelia had to figure out where her home was and how to find her place in life if she wanted to be happy. She found a family but would she find the one who truly understood her?

Jack was like a breath of fresh air. He was completely different from me and yet I loved reading about him. He gave off the appearance of someone who just floated through life, but underneath his smile he was hurting. I really liked Jack and I liked reading about him interacting with Amelia. I knew that he had a past, and I just wanted to read more about him. He was such a nice boy and although his past was haunting him, he was doing his best to make the right decisions. But the longer he ignored his past, the more damage his secret could do.

Amelia and Jack were perfect together, they balanced each other out. Amelia was organized and Jack helped Amelia relax. Their relationship was so sweet and I really liked reading about them falling in love. Amelia and Jack were both trying to find themselves and it would take a lot of time and errors for them to finally be happy.

Let Go was simply amazing and I loved how everything connected. The ending was perfect and although I am sad to see this series come to a close, I felt like it was perfect. I always enjoy seeing old characters and it was so fun to see how everyone was doing. I would totally recommend Let Go. Let Go is a clean contemporary romance.
