We decided to try a different kind of review. We made it more like a conversation. This is Angeline, and this is the font I will be using. Hi! This is Gabriella and I will be using this font.
This was such a good book! We loved it, it left us wanting more. Me too! I was so excited to read it! Reflection is the fourth book in Camille Peter’s first series the Kingdom Chronicles. We read the first three and really enjoyed it! We were hooked from the beginning and it just keeps getting better and better. It was so cute and we loved the characters. One thing that really drew me in was the inspiration of Snow White, it was such a twist!
In this book, you finally figure out what will happen to Rheanna, Liam’s sister. She was betrothed to Dedric but he broke off their engagement and every since then, Rheanna has doubted herself and her ability to be a princess. But in this book, she finds an enchanted mirror. This mirror is enchanted because a man is cursed to be stuck in there, and she vows to help get out of the mirror. But she finds herself falling for him. Will he love her even though she is broken and can she learn to believe in herself?
Rheanna was such an interesting character, but I thought that she was so relatable. She deals with doubts and insecurities. At the beginning of the book, she feels as if she would never be enough, enough to help rule a kingdom, or even enough for someone to love. But I love how she grows and learns that being broken doesn’t mean she can’t be mended. And how she learns that she is perfect just the way she is and the ones that truly matter see her abilities and how amazing she is. I totally agree, her anxiety and insecurities were super relatable. She was a different kind of heroine than the other books which was cool too. It is nice to see different types of characters.I also like how Drake brought out her confidence and spunk. Despite her worries, she learns to trust those who love her and to trust in their love.
Drake was such a complex character, I didn’t really know what to think of him, but he grew on me. I loved how he was sarcastic, but how he really cared about Rhea and loved her even amidst all her faults. He put up a front to protect himself, but in the end Rhea managed to tear down those walls. I loved how they complemented each other, she helped him deal with frustration and from hiding his feelings. While Drake was sensitive to Rhea’s feelings, she also grew in not letting him stay in negative emotions.
They were such a cute couple and I love how they supported each other and wanted the best for each other. They were so intentional in considering the other. I also loved seeing Liam and Awning again. Me too, it was so sweet to see their relationship grow and how they helped each other. I loved their story too! Briar was so sweet, I feel in love with him. Yeah, this book was a great introduction to him. He really was trying to help Rhea and seek her best. I am super excited to see his book! All in all, this was a great book. I would give this book 5 stars and definitely recommend it. People who like clean romances or fairytale retellings or both, would enjoy this! We can’t wait for the next book!
