Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! It’s strange to think we’ve been doing this for so long, but we’re truly grateful to be a part of this new world! It’s been incredibly fun to share some of our bookish thoughts with you guys. And also share parts of our life. That’s why we included the rabbit because 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit! Since we’re Japanese, we had to include that in this post😀 So grateful for you all! We can’t wait to see what the next year holds🥰

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! We are so thankful for this past year and all the blessings that the Lord has brought. This season is a special time to slow down, take a breather, and remember the blessing of Jesus Chrrist coming to this world.

Luke 2:10-14

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest,

And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

We hope that you enjoy this Christmas season and even if it is not a joyous time for you that you find peace and hope in the reason for the season.

Happy Thanksgiving

We just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! We are from the United States so we are getting ready to celebrate with our family and friends. Our family has a tradition of running before Thanksgiving dinner so we ran this morning and now we are preparing our food to celebrate.

We are currently spending New Years with our family, New Years is a special holiday for the Japanese. We are grateful to have a family who we can celebrate with, looking towards the year to come.

We wanted to post some bookish resolutions for this year.

Riella- read one classic book a month and one book outside of her normal genres

Angeline- wants to write 100 reviews, create 50 quote graphics, and log all of her reading.

Mikayla – would love to read at least five classics in 2022

What are some of your bookish or regular resolutions? Excited to see what this year will bring for us.

Merry Christmas!

We wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas! We hope that everyone feels loved and special this holiday season, know that we greatly appreciate all who read our blog.

No matter what everyone is going through, we have reason to celebrate. Our King, Jesus, has come as a baby to save us from our sins. He lived as a man, fully God and fully man, and died on the cross for our sins. However He did not stay dead, he rose again on the third day defeating sin and paying our price. We can have hope and joy because of what Christ has done for us. This year has not been without its hardships, we have seen sickness, death, and rejoiced at new births and marriages. However throughout the trials and joys of life, we can rejoice and be at peace because of what Christ has done for us. This is why we celebrate Christmas, to remember our Savior who has come and made a way for us to be right with God. We pray that all would know the love of the Savior, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. He is calling you yet today.

Matthew 11: 28-30 (NIV)

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
