Eighteen-year-old Magnolia believes in true love.

Or she did.

When her boyfriend dumps her the day before her sister’s wedding, Maggie is devastated—but her broken heart is only part of the problem. Maggie is the maid of honor, and her sister insists: Every member of the bridal party must have an escort. No exceptions.

Thank goodness for Hayden Davenport.

Sarcastic, cocky, a surprisingly good listener and self-professed player, when Maggie gets stuck in an elevator with the handsome stranger, she thinks she’s found the perfect wedding date. Unfortunately, Hayden hates weddings. Like really hates them.

But one soul-shattering kiss changes everything.

Maggie needs a fake boyfriend. Hayden wants to prove he’s changed his playboy ways. Faking it should be easy. The hard part?

Remembering it’s all pretend and not falling in love for real.

This book features two opposites with sizzling chemistry, a sweet, hopeless romantic and a cynical bad boy who’ll steal your heart. Elevators, fake romance, and weddings, oh my! Get ready to swoon, laugh, and say ‘I do’ to this heartfelt YA romance.

Book Review:

Magnolia believes in true love. But it is hard to believe it when she is dumped the day before her sister’s wedding. As the maid of honor, she has to have an escort. No exceptions. Her rescuer comes in the form of Hayden Davenport, who is sarcastic, cocky, and a self-proclaimed player. But after being stuck in an elevator with him, Maggie thinks she has found the perfect wedding date. Except Hayden hates weddings, until there is a kiss. Maggie needs a fake boyfriend and Hayden needs to prove that he has changed his playboy ways. All they need to do is remember that it is fake, easy enough, right?

This was super cute! I read it really quickly and thoroughly enjoyed it. Maggie was such a fun character. She was smart and kind. I liked her love of music and her dedication to the soup kitchen. I loved her relationship with her sister and mom. They were so sweet and supportive of each other, but they weren’t perfect. I also thought Hayden was so sweet! Even though he was a bit of a bad boy, they had an opposites-attract romance. It was very sweet to read. I loved their relationship honestly, even though it was supposed to be fake, it was so cute!

All of the supporting characters were also so fun! Constance especially was hilarious! I loved her drama and confidence. It was also so fun to have Hayden’s band mates in the story, they were also so funny! The characters are what make the story for me and Fauxmance had such amazing ones!

This is a YA romance that I would suggest for older teen readers. There are some innuendos and other content. I would definitely recommend it! It is sweet, swoony, and so much fun!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
