Book Review:

I have read and owned almost all of the Erynn Mangum books, so I was over the moon excited to get the chance to review this one! I love how there’s such a balance between heart and humor. And her characters are always so relatable. Like how in this book, Kate thinks that God must like to hear British people more than Americans because their accents are just amazing! I am a sucker for accents, so I laughed out loud at this 🙂

Kate’s life has fallen apart. After she gets fired from her dream job and her purpose, she feels lost. So when her Gran invites her to go to London, she jumps at the chance. While London was supposed to be a grand vacation, it just seems to highlight all of the anxiety in her life. Will Kate be able to finally trust Jesus with her life or will she hold onto what she thinks her life should be?

I loved Kate’s character so much! She was so relatable. She had everything figured out, and she had to learn how to take a leap of faith. I loved her relationship with her Gran too. Her Gran was hilarious! She was completely free and kind of crazy. It was cute how she was pushing Kate and Oliver together.

Oliver was a sweetheart! While I was a little bit unsure of the whole instalove thing, I think Ms. Magnum did it well. Personally, I felt like it was a little bit fast. But I can see how they were spending so much time together that it made sense. And I liked how it was clear that Kate’s choices were not just for Oliver. She was following what Jesus told her to do and not just a guy. However, practically speaking I think it’s always wise to get godly advice from multiple people and not to rush into decisions.

I loved this book! It was so sweet and fun, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Christian, rom coms!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
